Turmeric Skin Brightening Face Mask DIY
A quick and easy glow up!
Turmeric has amazing healing properties for both your skin and well being. It has gained popularity in the healthcare, beauty, and skincare industry. The anti-inflammatory compounds and antioxidants in turmeric are beneficial to the calming and brightening of skin. This particular face mask helps with any acne scarring, dullness, blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and reveals your skin’s natural glow. All the ingredients in this mask work together to brighten the skins complexion and to prevent acne.
This is my go to skincare regimen for a quick and easy glow up. I find that my makeup goes on a whole lot smoother after I use this face mask. If you want lasting results I recommend doing this at least once or twice a week. Here’s what you’ll need:
Ingredients:
- 1/2 tsp of turmeric
- 1 tbsp chickpea flour/gram flour
- 1 tbsp plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp Manuka honey (raw honey will do)
- slice of lemon
Directions:
•Combine all the ingredients together in a small bowl. Mix the turmeric, chickpea flour, Manuka honey, yogurt, and squeezed lemon juice well enough to get a paste like consistency.
- Make sure the paste is not to runny and not too thick. If it’s too thick add a bit more of lemon juice and if it’s too runny add a bit of chickpea flour or Manuka honey.
•Before applying anything new directly to your face, ALWAYS, do a patch test on your arm. If no irritation occurs then, and only then, apply to your face.
•Cleanse your face to remove any makeup, natural oils, or dirt. Pat your face dry with a towel.
•Apply the paste sparingly to your face (neck is optional)
- Wait 15–20 minutes and then rinse off.
